Meet our rangers

Our rangers play an important role in contributing to the ongoing management, wellbeing and legacy of the parks we manage, protecting and conserving them now and for future generations. From fire management to caring for protected flora and fauna, working as a ranger is a diverse and varied role with many responsibilities.

Meet our rangers - Bradd

Bradd is the Ranger Team Leader in Robinvale on the banks of the Murray River. He works with a great team to keep the parks alongside the river open for the local community and visitors a like. He is also a bushfire investigator and is called in to determine the source of bushfires.
Cultural heritage protection specialist Damien in Murray - Sunset National Park

Meet our rangers - Damien

Damien is a proud Wiradjuri man who cares deeply for the lands upon which he works. Based in North West Victoria, but with a statewide remit, Damien is an expert in the identification and protection of aboriginal cultural heritage and a mentor to Parks Victoria staff across the state.

Meet our rangers - Lisa

Lisa is the Ranger Team Leader at Hattah-Kulkyne National Park in North West Victoria. She is passionate about her work and the people she works with to look after the park. She is also an Authorised Officer and protects both the safety of visitors and the natural values of the park.

Sharnie is the Dja Dja Wurrung Ranger Team Leader. She manages a team of Aboriginal Rangers that look after the six joint-managed parks on Dja Dja Wurrung county.
Ranger Holly at Point Nepean National Park

Meet our rangers - Holly

Holly is a Ranger at Point Nepean National Park, right on the end of the Mornington Peninsula. She is passionate about the rich and varied history at Point Nepean and the important role she plays in conserving the native wildlife in the park.

Meet our rangers - Sam

Sam is a Ranger at Albert Park, just next to Melbourne's CBD. This busy urban park plays host to many community and sporting events, and provides an important green space a few kilometres from Melbourne's CBD.

Meet our rangers - Tim

Tim is the Ranger Team Leader at Lower Yarra. He manages a team of dedicated rangers that look after Yarra Bend Park, Westerfolds Park and Banksia Park, and is passionate about preserving and enhancing this important part of Melbourne's green wedge.

Meet our rangers - Georgie

Georgie is a Ranger at Parks Victoria's Burnley work centre. She's part of the Waterways Team and plays a key role in managing Melbourne's special waterways including the Yarra River, Maribyrnong River and the Docklands area.
Meet Ranger Jack at Gembrook

Meet our rangers - Jack

Jack is an Area Chief Ranger based in Gembrook. He oversees a number of parks and reserves east of Melbourne including Bunyip State Park and Kurth Kiln Regional Park.

Luke's a Ranger at Wilsons Promontory National Park and has been based at Tidal River for the past eight years.

Tex is the Ranger Team Leader at the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden. He leads a team of rangers and horticulturalists that ensures that visitors the spectacular garden have the best experience possible.
