Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Trial Operations Extended


Friday 19 January 2024 until Friday 2 February 2024


Mariners are advised that the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) trial operations in the vicinity of Aspendale, have been extended to the dates noted above.
The trial will occur in a rectangular area off Aspendale, bounded by the following approximate locations (WGS84): 1. 38° 3.003’S, 145° 1.509’E 3. 38° 4.444’S, 145° 2.383’E 2. 38° 4.036’S, 145° 3.522’E 4. 38° 2.603’S, 145° 2.627’E
The trial will involve multiple dives of the AUV, which will be accompanied by a support vessel. The AUV will display dive flag Alpha above the waterline on its antenna.
Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the trial.
