Quotes attributable to Emma Banting, Community Engagement Ranger, Parks Victoria:

“Parks Victoria’s ranger-guided Welcome Walks are the perfect way to enjoy nature, meet new friends and get some gentle exercise.

Walking in a group isn’t just good for meeting new people, it can improve your quality of life, keep your heart healthy, strengthen your muscles and bones and help you maintain a healthy weight.

Just spending 20 minutes in a park has been shown to reduce stress levels and improve mood. So, if you are feeling stressed, let nature relax and restore your body and mind in a group of like-minded people.”
