Wombelano Falls is a hidden gem tucked away in the gullies of Kinglake National Park. Its picturesque beauty makes it one of the must-see waterfalls near Melbourne. 

Enjoy the serenity of nature on the pleasant bushwalk to Wombelano Falls. The 1.5km circuit weaves through scenic forest rich with ferns and towering trees. 

Admire the waterfall from the lookout platform and watch streams of water cascade down the rock shelves, beautifully bordered by lush foliage.  

Return via the same track or explore a second scenic track that also leads to the carpark. Both tracks are around the same length of 1.5km.

How to get there

Wombelano Falls

The walking track to Wombelano Falls starts at the carpark on Captains Creek Road.

Captains Creek Road has an unsurfaced section for the last 300m leading to the carpark. Access via Extons Road is suitable for two-wheel drive vehicles, but contains potholes and puddles. Access from Eucalyptus Road is suitable for four-wheel drive vehicles only.
