The Tidal River Group Lodges are perfect for large families, school groups and tour groups looking to enjoy the picturesque surrounds of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Tidal River has 4 group lodges which can accommodate 12, 24 or 30 people in dormitory rooms with bunk beds.

Blankets and pillows are supplied, however guests will need bring their own linen and towels. Alternatively, linen and towel hire can be added to the booking. Facilities include a central dining and living area with gas heating and an outdoor barbecue. A fully-equipped kitchen includes a gas stove, microwave and fridges. Two bathrooms with showers and vanity units with separate toilets.

Day walks at the Prom

There are many walks around the Prom. The walks provide a perfect opportunities to view native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, emus and wombats as well as some spectacular views.

Squeaky Beach

One of the Prom’s iconic locations, the rounded grains of quartz sand make a ’squeak’ when walked on.

Tidal River Visitor Centre

The visitor centre at Tidal River provides information about walking tracks and things to do within the park. The centre is open daily from 9.00am - 4.00pm.

    Ecological Planned Burns commencing Wednesday 6 December 2023

    Two ecological burns are scheduled to be undertaken in northern areas of Wilsons Promontory National Park commencing:
    • Wednesday 6 December 2023 – Varney’s Grasslands
    • Thursday 7 December 2023 – Vereker Track

    Smoke may be visible for 1-3 days and, depending on weather conditions, smoke may drift a long distance from the sites of the planned burns.

    All roads and walking tracks within the national park will remain open.
