Tidal River is the main visitor hub for Wilsons Promontory National Park with a range of accommodation options to choose from.

Providing easy access to the tranquil waters of Tidal River and Norman Beach, the Tidal River Huts are perfectly located to access all that Tidal River has to offer. The single room huts which accommodate either 4 or 6 people are a great alternative to camping.

Guest should bring their own linen, and will have access to all the campground amenities. Cooking facilities include an oven, hot plates, and a bar fridge is provided.

Day walks at the Prom

There are many walks around the Prom. The walks provide a perfect opportunities to view native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, emus and wombats as well as some spectacular views.

Squeaky Beach

Tidal River Visitor Centre

The visitor centre at Tidal River provides information about walking tracks and things to do within the park. The centre is open daily from 9.00am - 4.00pm.

  • Yanakie Cemetery Walk (Wilsons Promontory National Park)

    Stockyard Toilet Block Closed

    The Stockyard Toilet Block is closed until further notice. 

  • Notices Affecting Multiple Sites

    Wilsons Promontory Ecological Planned Burns

    Ecological burning is underway in northern areas of Wilsons Promontory National Park.

    Smoke may be visible and depending on weather conditions smoke may drift a long distance from the burn sites. 

    The following roads and walking tracks within the national park are closed: 
    • Five Mile Road
    • Wildlife Walk
    • Vereker Break
    • Vereker Outlook Walk
    • Millers Landing
    • Northern Hikes
