Mt Franklin (Lalgambook) shelter and toilet upgrade

Works have begun on a new shelter and toilet facilities at Mt Franklin (Lalgambook) in the Hepburn Regional Park. During construction there will be a small works footprint closed off in the southern section of the campground. While toilet facilities are being replaced temporary toilet facilities will be provided for visitors. Works are expected to be completed in October. Please see attached flyer for more information

Seasonal road closures 2021

Some roads in this park are subject to seasonal road closures. Seasonal road closures generally operate after the long weekend in June through to the end of October, but may be extended due to seasonal conditions. Visit the seasonal road closures page for maps and more information.

Partial closure storm damage

Due to recent storm damage the Hepburn Regional Park is partially closed including sections of the Goldfields Track between Sailors Falls and Twin Bridges.

The following sites are open:
·      Mt Franklin (Lalgambook)
·      Argyle spring
·      Jacksons Lookout
·      The Blowhole
·      Bryces Flat
·      Tipperary Springs
·      Sailors falls picnic area and loop walk
·      The Goldfields walking track north of Twin Bridges

Assessments and track clearing are still ongoing, but it is anticipated that more areas in the park will be able to open in the coming weeks. Areas where there is extensive damage may be closed for some time. We recommend you check this page for updates on closures. It is dangerous to enter closed areas and there is still high risk of further trees and branches falling.
