Bungalow Spur Walk (Alpine National Park)

Bungalow Spur is one of the more popular routes up Mt Feathertop (1922 metres). Climbing over 1300m from the hamlet of Harrietville this walk is a 22km return journey and one of the classics of the Victorian High Country. It is best done as an overnight hike but can be done with a car shuffle in a day with a vehicle awaiting on the Great Alpine Road at Diamantina Hut. Be prepared for snow and high winds any time of the year and take sufficient food and water to for emergencies. Please note it is also a fuel stove only area and fires cannot be lit.
