Salmon Rocks Lookout CLOSED for renovation

The Salmon Rocks Lookout is currently undergoing renovation and will remain closed until works are completed. Visitors wishing to complete the Salmon Rocks to West Cape Walk, may still do so from the West Cape end, however access to Salmon Rocks via the lookout is not currently possible. Walkers will need to turn back at the lookout and return to West Cape via the same path

Nature Trail - Cowrie bay carpark to Joiners Channel section CLOSED

Due to high rainfall during 2021/22, the Joiners Channel to Cowrie Bay section of the Cape Conran Nature Trail has been inundated by a natural spring and is currently impassable. The Section of trail between Cowrie Bay and Sailors Grave remains open.

Banksia Bluff Accommodation Bookings

Banksia Bluff Accommodation is currently closed, with new accommodation under planning and construction.
Information on future bookings for the new accommodation and Olive-Berry Lodge is yet to be released.
Banksia Bluff Campground remains open for bookings.

Temporary site closures (8 - 12 August 2022)

Works to identify and treat hazardous trees within the park will be undertaken between the 8th and 12th of August 2022.  Due to the safety risks associated with these works temporary closures will be in place.  Areas that may be impacted include:

·         Banksia Bluff Campground
·         East Cape Day Visitor Area
·         Yeerung River Road
·         Yeerung River Canoe Launch Area
·         Estuary View Walk Carpark
 
Campsites within Banksia Bluff Campground will be unavailable for bookings whilst works are undertaken.
