Little Waterloo Bay to Telegraph Saddle Hike (Wilsons Promontory National Park, Southern Wilsons Promontory Remote and Natural Area)

From Little Waterloo Bay the trail winds through coastal scrub and heathland, enjoying stunning views of the turquoise waters of Waterloo Bay and weathered granite sculptures on the way to Telegraph Junction. Beyond the junction follow Telegraph Track, crossing Growlers and McAlister Creeks and ascend through tall eucalpyt forests to reach Telegraph Saddle Carpark.

This Grade 4 trail has steep sections and is 11.9km, 4.5 hours one way.

Visitor tips: Toilets are available at Little Waterloo Bay and Telegraph Saddle Carpark. Untreated creek water is available at Little Waterloo Bay and Growlers Creek. Treat or boil water before use.

Mt Oberon Road and Mt Oberon Summit Lookout Temporary Closure

Due to roadworks on Mt Oberon Carpark Road, general access to Telegraph Saddle and Mt Oberon Summit will be closed on Tuesday 5 December, and will reopen 8:00am Wednesday 6 December.

Access to Telegraph Saddle for pre-existing bookings for Overnight Hikes and the Lightstation will have restricted times to be escorted by local Parks Victoria Staff past the works. 

Please consider Mt Bishop Lookout as an alternative to Mt Oberon Summit.

Stockyard Toilet Block Closed

The Stockyard Toilet Block is closed until further notice.
