Partial closure of the Major Mitchell Walking Track

The Major Mitchell Walking Track between First Wannon Hiker Camp and Jimmy Creek Campground, including Stockyard Track, will be closed from Monday the 3rd of February until the end of March 2020

This closure is due to Grampians Peaks Trail hiker camp construction works.

First Wannon Hiker Camp will remain open during this period. 

Walkers will only be able to complete a return walk to First Wannon from one of the following trailheads: Sheep Hills Carpark, Mt William Carpark or Kalymna Campground. 
A one way walk (with a car shuffle) is also possible between Sheep Hills Carpark and Kalymna Campground.
