Ecological Planned Burns commencing Wednesday 6 December 2023

Two ecological burns are scheduled to be undertaken in northern areas of Wilsons Promontory National Park commencing:
  • Wednesday 6 December 2023 – Varney’s Grasslands
  • Thursday 7 December 2023 – Vereker Track

Smoke may be visible for 1-3 days and, depending on weather conditions, smoke may drift a long distance from the sites of the planned burns.

All roads and walking tracks within the national park will remain open.
