Explore all that French Island National Park has to offer by following the West Coast Wetlands Walking track. Starting at Fairhaven Campground, head east along Pinnacles Track. The terrain is mainly flat and gentle gradient with slight undulation at 60m above sea level. From the Pinnacles experience spectacular views of Phillip Island, Western Port and the west coast wetlands of the park.

Whilst walking ensure that you keep a sharp eye out for any of the many migratory birds that visit French Island at different times during the year. Throughout the wetlands and bushland, look closely to find the endemic French Island Spider-orchid.

Walkers and camper on French Island need to be self-sufficient. before venturing out. Ensure you are equipped with enough water and insect repellent.

West Coast Wetlands walking track is 9.6km and is a Grade 3 trail."
