Yan Yean Reservoir Park internal road upgrade

Melbourne Water is upgrading the road running parallel to the reservoir. This will require a complete closure of this section.

The works will take place from 4 April 2022 and run for approximately 10 weeks until mid-June. Park visitors can enter via a temporary access point off Reservoir Road to access the northern part of the park, or from the main park entrance off Recreation Road to access the southern section. Vehicle access off Reservoir Road will not have auto gate exit, gates will be open from 8.30am and close at 4pm sharp. Visitors will need to leave the northern area prior to this closing time.

The works will be carried out between 7.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday in accordance with EPA guidelines.

Parking will be very limited over Easter.

The temporary vehicle access gate off Reservoir Rd, will be closed on the following weekends during road works:

  • 30 April-1 May
  • 14-15 May
  • 28-29 May
  • 11-12 June
  • 25-26 June
