Yarra Flats (Yarra Valley Parklands)

Yarra Flats Park is located within Yarra Valley Parklands and if travelling by car, can be accessed from Yarra Flats Entry Road. For those on foot or bike, the Main Yarra Trail runs the length of the park. Old growth River Red Gums that have a girth of over 1 metre and very likely to predate European settlement can be seen in the park, which is also the home of a few important billabongs along the Yarra River.

An Artist’s trail is a good way to discover some of famous Impressionists from the Heidelberg School.

Facilities include toilets, picnic tables and shelter, an information shelter, grassy areas, shade, and drinking water. There are no bins. Please take all rubbish away for recycling or disposal.

Westerfolds Park Wood Fired Barbecues removed

Please be advised that wood fired barbecues are no longer available at Westerfolds Park. There are electric barbecues at the Ridge Picnic Area  and Porter St Picnic Area. You can bring your own gas barbecue if you prefer.
