Upgrades of the main all-access lookout
A striking upgrade to the existing all-abilities lookout including solid glass walls and a section of glass flooring on the base to create a ‘see-through’ thrill experience at the top of the lookout which overlooks the valley.
Improvements to walkways
Realignment of pedestrian walkways will provide better movement around the Gorge Day Visitor area.
Completed works
Improved car and coach parking
The Gorge parking area has been upgraded with new asphalting, parking bay markings and a dedicated bus/coach drop off near the entry into the Gorge Day Visitor Area.
The relocation of coach parking to the upper chalet parking area improves visitor safety and provides improved ‘turning circles’ for coaches.
Upgrades to the existing toilet facility including waste water treatment system
The existing toilet block has been refreshed and the toilets’ wastewater treatment system has been upgraded to improve efficiencies and quality standards.
