Immerse in nature while staying in high comfort, low impact, safari style tents - Parks Victoria's answer to 'glamping'. Located at Wilsons Promontory National Park and Buchan Caves, each Wilderness Retreat has timber floors, covered timber decks with chairs and tables, a fridge and a queen-size bed complete with a plump doona and fresh linen. There's a fully equipped communal kitchen with gas cook top, microwave oven, fridge, and cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There's also an outdoor barbeque area. These are perfect places to prepare your favourite meal and relax after a day of wilderness adventures.

Earth Friendly

Low impact accommodation that touches the earth lightly and lets you get closer to the environment than you ever thought possible. Great care has been taken to ensure your stay has minimal environmental impact. External colours have been specially selected to complement the colours of the landscapes and revegetation includes the replanting of more than 1700 indigenous plants. The furniture has been made by a Gippsland furniture maker from locally and sustainably grown hardwood. Private ensuites at Wilsons Promontory provide locally hand-made chemical-free shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. The Wilderness Retreats are Advanced Ecotourism Certified having met global standards for environmental sustainability.

Buchan Caves Reserve Accommodation

Caves House is a fully self contained house which can sleep up to eight people. There are three bedrooms with a queen bed in each room and an ante room with two single beds. Features include kitchen, dining area, lounge room, toilets, shower, heating and cooling, covered front deck with river views and an outdoor BBQ and fire. All linen is provided.
